We could talk for hours about investments and cash flow and debt and taxes but the real benefits of working with a fiduciary financial planner are:
Organization: In order to do our job we need to organize your financial life. Organization is a means not an end but many clients feel it is the best thing about the financial plan.
Accountability: Do what you say you are going to do, by when you say you are going to do it. Knowing that you have a regularly scheduled financial planning meeting creates an urgency that you may not have on your own.
Objectivity: Since I do not sell any product or charge a % of your assets, I am able to give you my best advice, free of any conflict of interest.
Proactivity: We won’t wait for a crisis, we address financial planning issues on a regular schedule. We anticipate potential problems so you will be prepared.
Education: You are capable of making good decisions. You just need someone to paint the waterfront for you. There is a lot of noise out there, getting educated by someone you can trust will give you the confidence to do bold things.
Partnership: Sometimes you just need to call someone who understands exactly where you are coming from. Someone who won’t judge you. Someone who will help you make big decisions. Some clients feel that just knowing we are there for them if they need us is worth the price of admission.
WPG offers financial planning and investment advice for a flat fee of $300 per month. In addition, we have a one-time setup fee of $1,500.
Financial planning includes retirement projections, cash flow analysis, estate planning, insurance, debt management, and more. Investment advice includes a risk profile, asset allocation, and security selection plus quarterly rebalancing. We custody assets at TD Ameritrade. If you choose to custody assets with us, we will be responsible for executing trades. If you prefer to custody elsewhere, or if you have a 401k or other employer plan, we will still give you detailed investment advice and trading instructions but you will be responsible for executing the trades.
